Short run digital color is one of the best production breakthroughs in recent printing technology.
Our high-end production machine produces outstanding, attention-getting color! And it is fast—many
jobs are ready in 1-3 days or less.
Grelind Printing & Design offers a boutique of digital printing services, from color copying, color
output from digital files, to color printing. Digital technology enables us to produce full-color projects
quickly and in small quantities. We custom-create many social event items such as wedding invitations
and programs, graduations, holiday and other special event announcements. Short-run direct-mail
color postcards are a proven marketing tool that we produce for many businesses. And yes, we do
color business cards!
We offer color digital output from acceptable file formats* on standard sheet sizes of 12x18” but we
can run custom sizes as small as 5.5x8.5” to as large as 13x19.” Please contact us for bleed and
maximum image information. Output is 600x600 dpi, creating a very high-end image from digital files.
We also copy your documents in high-speed, duplexing, and collating modes. Copies can be made
in black or full color. Some of our most requested services are copying of old photographs and color
artprints for short-run archival use.

vs. process color
Using
process or spot colors in your files.
When
creating a colored logo or text, plan to use true PMS colors. Use the chart found at www.pantone.com to select your choices, then ask your software to convert spot color to CMYK if printing in 4 color process or digital output. When we proof your file,
we then have a color standard to compare with your color expectations. Also,
when we print your project in spot color, we can match your choices with mixed
ink to your specs.
Digital Photography of you or your project is available. We have a powerful digital camera
and know how to light your project properly, including 3-D items, colored original art, vehicles and
office situations to illustrate your printing.
PAPER CHOICES AVAILABLE: (all in 94-98% bright white)
24# laser, 28# laser, 100# gloss book, 100# gloss cover,
80#-100# matte cover, 10-12 pt. coated one side and
Kromekote coated one side covers.
Special paper colors can be ordered, however, smooth paper finishes image the best.
*ACCEPTABLE FILE FORMATS: We run a Macintosh platform with Tiger operating system for our main graphics software. We have access to a PC platform also for Microsoft programs.
Current graphics software versions are: Quark 6.5 and 7; Freehand 11; Adobe CS1 and 2 including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign; and Acrobat 8 for distilling and reading PDFs. We are currently able to operate in Classic mode for Pagemaker 7 and Freehand 10. We will accept files as EPS, TIFF or PDF from either Mac or PC. Be sure to embed your fonts, and open the bleeds to 1/8” if spec’ed. Word files will be converted. We can only accept Publisher files as PDFs. Please see our
Electronic Specifications page for additional file information. We really appreciate hard copy if at all possible, it makes the task so much faster of verifying that your layout is imaging correctly.
